Using hair spray when wet or damp?

I currently use gel but I'm growing sick of the goo feeling so I want to try spray. With gel I know my hair has to be damp, is it the same with spray? I like how my hair looks straight out of the shower but I'm wondering if I will be able to spray it when it's still very wet.

My daughter's hair is very curly. she sprays her hair when it is wet and it kinda keeps the "wet curly look". I dry my hair and style it before i spray it to hold the style, but not look wet. after i get out of the shower, i sometimes scrunch my hair with gel. I then spray hairspray in my hair, and it always works. good luck :)

Well i usally put on hairstay after i have styled my hair and my hair is dry but most of my friends put on hairspray when it is wet or damp. But if you put on hairspray when it is wet or damp make sure its a hairspray you can trust to hold your hair in place.
