Any advice on achieving and maintaining the wet/curly out of the shower, hair look?

Dudes that have experience with this give me some advice. I usually cut my hair short. But recently I've decided to switch it up. My hair gets pretty curly once I grow it out. I really like how it looks when I get out the shower and it is wet. I would like advice on how to maintain this look. The gel that I use looks nice for a few hours, but it doesn't really maintain the look that I'm going for. If you know of any good gel brands or other hair products, please recommend. Ladies that know about men's hair, feel free to answer. I've heard that if you use a gel with less hold, you achieve a better wet look, is this true? Help, please.

DEFINITELY! before i had a stupidd attack and cut my hair into a mohawk, i had long, curly, dark beautiful hair to the middle of my back and i loved the wet/curly hair look, it was easy and less time consuming. here is how i did mine!

AFTER getting out of the shower i would towel dry my hair so it was damp

THEN i would add some of this mousse to my hair that makes it look wet all day long if it is soaked and bathed in it =P

and since mens hair is alot shorter and has an essential amount of vitamins and minerals in the natural oils produced from the hair, it is better to use a less hold gel styling product so your hair looks wet, not greasy, so try this gel here:

The problem with the less hold gels is that they don't last lost enough. I think the Bed Head products work great. If you want that wet hair look, try one that calls itself a styling glue. It holds until your next shower and it looks awesome.

Mousse, then gel. Mousse keeps it looking wet, and gel sets it.

Use a product called 'WET" by Sebastian it keeps hair looking wet while its dry and works best for curls
