i can style my hair ( using gel or moose or spritz ) to not frizz
my problem is summer time.. when im in / near the water
when that product rinses out .. my hair will be fine IN the water.. but the moment im out and it starts to dry.. i look like a hair monster.. any ideas?
Does anyone will naturally curly hair have an answer for this one...?
You should wash your hair in a curl boosting shampoo. Even though product rinses out in the water, shampoo doesn't normally. In fact, you notice you can kinda feel the shampoo in your hair when you're swimming. Try SunSilk brand Curl Boosting Shampoo.

go to a stylist and get a relaxer..Its like a perm but a straight perm and it helps with frizzness..basically adds smoothness

i've run into this problem too.. usually when i'm in/around water i pull my hair up either in a ponytail or french braids.. so that way when it starts to dry it's at least a little bit managable.. either that or i have to scrunch gel into my hair when i'm finished around the pool..
it'd be awesome if there was a product that we could buy for our naturally curly hair.. that after putting it in.. it would keep the curly hair nice even in high humidity %26amp; around water.. i don't know of any products like this tho'.. if you find one.. let me know!
good luck!

bring a scarf or small hair towel along with you. you can use it to wrap you hair while its wet and still look chic - like a turban. the above answers are great too!

My hair is naturally curly and I wear it shoulder length and straighten it daily with a flat iron. But when I am out swimming or doing something physical where it's going to get wet, it curls up.
What I do, is get a layered cut that will still look straight when flat ironed but when it is wet, my curls look good too.
If I left it completely the same length all over, I would just have these stupid looking matted curls when wet. But with the longer layers, they curl and look decent. Now to figure out what to do with the bangs. lol

before you get in the water use a good frizz control product and if possbile have one nearby so when you get out you can rub it through your hair,
when all else fails put it in a tight bun :)

This might sound gross, but don't shampoo your hair too much... it just frizzes it out. Always always always condition it. Try rubbing a bit of conditioner in your hair before it is dry and it will help calm it down. Moisture in your hair is key to keeping it frizziless.
By the way, Lush has this super yummy solid conditioner that really helps keep the curls separate. It is called Jungle and it rocks, but I don't recommend it at the beach even though it needs very little rinsing.
Aubrey makes a couple of really nice conditioners for frizzies that work well if just left on and used sparingly. I like Island Naturals, just a little dab. You have to get Aubrey at the health food store.
