Well, I use baby oil, mousse, hair spray, hair straightener, gel, pantene shampoo, i had highlights but now they are gone, and I dyed my hair. Why do I have dry, damaged, uncontrollable hair?? Is there anything I can do to help??

Well, your hair is dry and damaged because of the treatment it gets from you. Dying, bleaching, highlighting always means damage to the hair and its structure. You should get your hair some rest, meaning you might need to cut off the dead ends and then let your original hair color grow out again. Always use conditioner after washing your hair and an extra treatment twice a week like a package with oil. Don't use baby oil, use natural oils like olive oil or sesame seed oil.

Try castor oil, or coconut oil - it will be better than baby oil.

First you should stop, straightning, using gel, hair spray, everything and just let your hair go for a few days. Get a hot oil treatment and a good shampoo and use conditioner and that should restore some of the moisture. Good luck:)

don't use so many products just try using shampoo conditioner and some leave in conditioner. Also it might help if you get your stylist to strip the color out.

USE DOVE! don't use all those products that can mess up your hair even more look at dove products and dove products only they work really well for damaged,dry hair like yours. trust me now my hair is beautiful! but anyways don't use all those products they will damage your hair for life..and to make your hair grow more you can use coconut oil it smells good and it makes your hair shiny. and also it grows but just wash it out 3 days later..GOOD LUCK!

stop putting so much product on your hair. the more you put on the more it's going to dry out. don't wash it for a few days and let the nature oil in your scalp condition it brush it through and when you do wash it i recommend. feria conditioner it's used when people dye their hair but you can purchase it in a big bottle at sallys beauty supply. hope this helps. my best friend is a beautician.

Don't use so many products in your hair. Maybe try a conditioning treatment. Also get a trim. If your hair is dry I'm sure your ends are split. A trim will help your hair feel healthier.

I like to be very organized. I bought bottles that all look exactly the same and put all of my hair care products in them all into a bottle. The problem: I can't tell which bottle is which. Sometimes I wash my hair with Ice-spikers and gel my hair with conditioner. I figure that no-one will be able to tell. My answer to you: no one will tell.

it seems like you may be attacking your poor hair with to much product, and pantene isn't all its cracked up to be, it coats your hair with plastic, and eventually causes hair loss, so talk to your salon person, and get nice hot oil treatment, and be nice to your hair.

Well first of all, you are using way too many hair products. Spray, gel, heat, mousse and bleach damges your hair and takes the shine away from it. Continuous use of hair products will soon result to dry damage hair.

Cut your hair really short and tame it. Dont use hair products when not nessesary like when your not going out.

Wear a hat to protect your hair from sunlight.

Don't dye your hair

I suggest using styling creme rather than anything else

Use lots of Conditioner and leave it on for about 2 minutes. Then rinse

It's probably a combination of things affecting your hair.

Highlights definitely put a strain on your hairs health. The peroxide makes your hair brittle. Dyeing too can damage your hair, especially if you are using hair colors that have alot of lift (light tones) cause they usually have higher concentrations of peroxide and/or amonia too.

If you want to dye your hair in the future I would recommend a herbal hair color. Not the ones from the drug store. One of the brands from a health food store would be better.

In the meantime, try doing a HOT oil treatment and/or try using Pantene's Restorative line of products. They work very well too.

I had the same problem when i put highlights in my hair it got very dry.I got my hair back into condition by using Aussie 3 minute treatment conditioner after using Aussie shampoo. I found these products fantastic.also dont put highlights in your hair for a while. my hair is curly and my hair dresser said curly hair is naturally dry anyway.

baby oil dries up ur hair!!! use coconut oil, olive oil, or, carrot oil. and pantene is the worse shampoo u can use.

you have dry damage hair probably because u straighten it too much. take it easy on heat products on your hair if u want healthy hair only use heaters when u really really need to like specail occaions only. cutt all ur dead ends off and start all over again if u want a full head of healthy hair. u have to put some kind of oil in ur hair ur hair breaks and splits easier when dry. =)

well the way i see it is your doing alot of unnessary things to your hair....you are putting too much product in your hair....i would suggest to go to the salon and have them strip all the impurities out of you hair and then do a deep conditioning...continuing straightening can also cause dryness especially if your not using the right product to avoid excessive damage...you need a straightening syrum...go to the salon and get this treatment..you will find a difference...and purchase shampoo and conditioner for colored. damaged hair....try redken...biolage...goldwell...or paul mitchell....ask a consultant at the salon that best suits your need for you hair type...good luck

They told me at the beauty salon the more you wash your hair the more you will lose your color. Try washing your hair in a warm rinse instead of hot water. Also, I was told by someone (a think it was a hairstylist) that paintene is the worst thing to use on your hair.
